The meeting

Spent two days clearing down the laptop, phone and so on, backing up the customer systems that someone else would need to support, then packed it all up and trailed up to head office.
The decision hasn't been made yet (so why is this a decision meeting then?) - will happen at the board meeting Friday afternoon.
There's not much hope of my proposal that they cut my hours and give me a part time job, as the customer I have been lovingly supporting hasn't paid for several months so shouldn't have been getting support.
They don't want to pay me off and see me go away - they actually seem to think that I will sit for 8 hours a day staring at the laptop and asking for work to do for the next three months! There hasn't actually been any work for nearly two months, apart from stuff I have gone and found myself, so there isn't likely to be much now. So we agreed that they would give me 24 hours notice if they want me to do any actual work. On the plus side, if they gave me three months pay in one hit I would lose most of it in tax, and at least this way I keep my car allowance and (importantly) private medical insurance for the three months. No severance package though - statutory redundancy only....
They are very sorry about the timing...

So I carried all my stuff back home again.
Tomorrow is another day. Boy, is tomorrow another day.
