Fit? fit to drop

I decided that I need to get some muscle tone of some kind as soon as I can, so it's been back to the gym for me. I have a program that involves lots of cardio stuff, like treadmills and cross-trainers, with a couple of resistance machines to get some work in on the muscles around the area where the man with the knife will be working. That bit will only last until Friday, as anything that puts any strain on the area around where the tumour is currently lurking will obviously be off the agenda for quite a while. However I see no reason why I can't sit on an exercise bike every day and my heart really needs the tlc... I am so out of condition that it frightens me. It would be a bit of a tragedy to get through all this lot and then have a heart attack because I have got out of condition and a bit flabby!
I went and did the routine at the gym yesterday afternoon and survived ok... mostly. Then this morning I got up and slogged my way up to London for an interview, which put paid to my plan to go morning and afternoon... so I went when I got back. Now I am really worn out! I know it will get easier as the week goes along, so I MUST make myself go in the morning. I will have to get up to make Sir's sandwiches as the bread isn't finished yet and I want to go to bed now, so that should get me out of the pit early enough that I will have time to get down there and do the thing before I have to go to the hospital for my pre-op consultation. That's the plan, at least. (and yes, he could make his own sandwiches but I have been doing them as my paltry contribution - he's going out and working very hard labouring on a building site so making his butties is the least I can do!)(anyway, providing bread and flapjacks makes me feel a bit like a domestic goddess, which is quite nice once in a while!)
The trip to the hospital will most likely account for most of the day, since they were talking about EEGs, blood tests and all sorts of other things. Should get me home just in time to go to the gym again...
